Who coordinates the Centre's programs?
Fr. Wojciech Blach, OMI - Director
Fr. Wojciech was born on July 17, 1966 in Kedzierzyn-Kozle in Poland. After ordination as an Oblate priest in 1995, Father was assigned to parish work in Gorzow-Wielkpolski, Poland. In 1996 he joined the Assumption Province of Oblates in Canada where he served at Holy Ghost Parish in Winnipeg and St. Casimir's Parish in Toronto. After a sabbatical in the United States and the Holy Land, Father joined the Queen of Apostles team in 2006. In June 2007, Fr. Wojciech was appointed the director of Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre.
Fr. John Mazur, OMI
Born in Toronto, Fr. John was ordained an Oblate priest in 1955. Fr. John's early ministry involved minor-seminary administration, teaching high school students and assisting in parishes. After a term as Oblate Provincial, Fr. John was appointed to the Centre's retreat staff in 1984.
Mrs. Anne Hales
Mrs. Anne Hales, was born in Toronto. She is married, a mother of two sons, and grandmother to two boys. Her ministry in the Archdiocese of Toronto began in her home parish in 1965. Anne joined the Oblate retreat staff at the Centre in 1985. She preaches retreats with the Oblates and is a certified spiritual director.
Fr. Christopher Pulchny, OMI
Fr. Chris was born on October 4, 1950 in Vancouver, BC. He joined the Oblates in 1968 and was ordained to the priesthood on October 4, 1975. Father did parish ministry at St. Casimir's, Toronto; Holy Ghost, Winnipeg; and St. Henry's in Melville, SK. Twice he was named Provincial Superior of Assumption Province for a total of twelve years. In 2006 Father was assigned as Director of Administrative Services for Queen of Apostles. Maintaining his home base at Queen of Apostles; in February, 2007, Fr. Chris was assigned additional responsibilities in Lesotho, Africa.
Br. Roman Zapadka, OMI
Born on June 2, 1965 in Poland. Roman joined the Oblates in 1986 and came to Canada in 1994. He began service at St. Patrick’s parish in Saskatoon. One year later, he was transferred to the scholasticate in Edmonton. On September 8, 1996, Roman professed perpetual vows at Holy Rosary parish in Edmonton. He spent four years serving at the Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre in Mississauga. Later, Br. Roman was sent to the Oblate mission in Kenya for four years. After his return to Canada, he was assigned to St. Casimir’s parish in Toronto, took a Clinical Pastoral Education course (CPE) at St. Michael’s Hospital, and work as a pastoral care worker at the senior citizens’ nursing home of Copernicus Lodge in Toronto. In Sept 2008, Br Roman was assigned to Queen of Apostles.
